This is scheduled to open in November 2018.

Motel One

Motel One Group opened its new, 374-room, £22 million hotel in September 2018, making it the largest bedroomed hotel in Scotland.

The Motel One Glasgow combines the industrial character of train and rail technology with the special sense of adventure that accompanies a journey by train.

Detailed artworks by Scottish photography duo Matthew Dalziel and Louise Scullion are on show in this city centre hotel, which is located next to Glasgow Central Station. The stunning turquoise-lit building offers superb views of Glasgow's skyline. Rooms boast 100% Egyptian cotton sheets and a refreshing rain shower.

The hotel includes the brand’s signature One Lounge, combining living room, breakfast café and bar all-in-one. The Glasgow One Lounge has a unique style which is themed around the golden era of train travel in Scotland.

Anchor Line

The seven storey Anchor Line building was built in 1906 as an office for the eponymous shipping line.

Over 100 years later the ground and basement floors of this A-Listed building have become home to the popular Anchor Line Bar & Restaurant and Atlantic Restaurant.

The restaurant and bar celebrate the grand ocean voyages of the 1920s and 30s from Glasgow to New York, through their décor and menus.

Now the upper floors are being converted into 64 serviced apartments by Aparthotel operators Go Native. Mirroring the design ethos of the existing Anchor Line and Atlantic

restaurants, the apartments will also celebrate Glasgow’s shipping heritage, recreating the opulence of 1920s ocean liners. Paying homage to the stunning Art Deco of the building, many of the original features remain including glazed tiles, terrazzo flooring, timber wall panelling, safes and fireplaces.
